CONTROLS:

  • W > Walk
  • D > Use Turtle Power to Walk Faster!
  • SPACEBAR > Enter Turtle Shell
  • Up Arrow / Down Arrow > Change Lanes
  • Escape > Show / Hide 'Retry' button.

TIPS:

  • If you use all your Turtle Power you'll flip over briefly.  Press W repeatedly to flip back over quicker.
  • Avoid grass patches, they slow you to a crawl. ( :3 )
  • Enter your shell on a downhill slope to slide, building speed.
  • Walk over the arrows to rapidly gain Turtle Power!
  • If you get stuck, try changing lanes / using Turtle Power!

KNOWN BUGS:

  • For some reason there's a tendency to get stuck near the grass at the start due to hitbox collision issues.  Using Turtle Power when approaching tends to avoid this but it's inconsistent in occurrence.

Made for the SAGDC 2014.  The theme was public access television and Turtle Derby is an actual event in Minnesota that was being shown on Minneapolis Public Access at the time.
